Inside

This is my second post after a long time away from Stack. When I first started it was meant to be a place to follow my filmmaking journey, to collect moments, ideas and fragments of thought. Somewhere along the way I stopped. Life filled with other things and the habit of sitting here and writing slowly disappeared.
Now I am taking the first step back. My creative revival begins not with a project or a camera in my hands, but with looking at my own human condition.
I am writing about what it feels like to turn inward. It is as if the world has shifted its gaze and taken me with it. Not to hide or to escape, but to strip away the noise I have been living in. It tells me I have had enough of chasing external forms. I find myself standing still, no longer reaching for the next form, simply watching.
Everything feels sharper. Colors have weight. Sounds press closer. Crowds draw me in and push me away at the same time. Light does not just appear, it lands.
This is not a retreat from the world. It is a different way of meeting it. Letting it arrive as it is.

If filmmaking begins with seeing, then this is where I start again. Before the lens. Before the frame. Before the first image. Just here, noticing.
This is the other side of numbness. After a long season where life felt muted and flattened into something I could only endure, the dullness has cracked open. What remains is not ease, but an almost unbearable clarity. Life without its skin.
Perhaps this is what waking up feels like. Not joy and not sorrow, but a startling closeness to everything. An intimacy so deep that the smallest detail becomes infinite. For now my work is not to seek or to run, but to stand still inside this nakedness and let the world happen to me.
